The Cincinnati Bengals are still looking for their first win of the 2019 NFL season as they get set to host the New York Jets. It seems they will be without wide receiver a.J Green once again.
Green has sat out the entire year while recovering from an ankle injury. Head coach Zac Taylor says he has been ruled out versus the Jets, via ESPN's Ben Baby:

Taylor wasn't ready to rule Green out for the year despite the fact he hasn't been a full participant during a game-week practice the entire season. Taylor: “We don't want push anybody along that's not ready to go. We just want to make sure he's ready to play full speed and healthy and give his best effort.”
There has been plenty of speculation regarding Green's looming return. Taylor had expected Green to make his debut weeks ago before a setback delayed the progress he had made in his recovery. His comments indicate that Cincinnati has no problem continuing to take a cautious approach until he is 100 percent ready.
The prospect of Green making his return now seems quite far-fetched. The Bengals are not playing for much at this point in the season and the veteran still has yet to secure his long-term future beyond the 2019 campaign. As a result, there is little reason for him to risk potentially aggravating his injury any further.
Quarterback Ryan Finley has struggled to find his footing since being named the starter in Week 10. He will need to make do with the weapons at his disposal once again if he hopes to get the Bengals in the win column for the first time this year.
