Joe Burrow admits the Cincinnati Bengals' loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 56 stings, but he doesn't want the team to make the one big mistake of feeling like they are a complete failure.

Instead of focusing on one loss–no matter how big it is–Burrow reminded himself and the Bengals that what they have accomplished in the 2021 campaign is something worth celebrating.

Burrow said as much in his postgame presser after the heartbreaking defeat, sharing that he learned such mentality after watching the documentary “A Football Life: Kurt Warner.”

“He said they let it sting too much,” Burrow reminisced on what Warner said in the documentary, via Yahoo Sports. “They didn't celebrate what they accomplished. Obviously it stings, but we had a great year, didn't come out this last game the way we wanted to, but I think we still have something to celebrate.”

Indeed, Joe Burrow is spot on with his statement. While it's definitely frustrating that they weren't able to get the job done, they cannot let it define them and overlook the what they had to go through to make it to the biggest stage in American football.

No one expected the Bengals to be in the Super Bowl 56, but they defied the odds and all expectations by taking down the Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs to book their ticket to the game.

Prior to this 2021, the Bengals last reached the postseason in 2015. The years that followed were filled with mediocrity, with the team even finishing bottom of the AFC North in the past three seasons. The fact that they were able to turn things around from a really bad team to a championship contender is worthy of recognition.

For what it's worth, beyond the loss, what the Bengals have proven is that they are a young, rising team that the rest of the NFL should be wary of moving forward. As Burrow said following the loss, they'll be back even better.

“We’re a young team. So you know you’d like to think that we’ll be back in this situation multiple times over the course of the next few years. We take this and let it fuel you for the rest of our careers,” Burrow added.
