The Cincinnati Bengals and rookie quarterback Joe Burrow are officially 0-1 on the year as Week 1 of the 2020 regular season rolled throughout Sunday.
However, after finishing last season with the worst record in the league en route to selecting Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Bengals looked infinity more competitive on Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Even so, Burrow was not thrilled about his professional debut as a member of the Bengals as Cincinnati ultimately lost the game in devastating fashion with place kicker Randy Bullock whiffing on a potentially game-tying field goal attempt.

Continuing his trend of only caring about winning whether at the collegiate or professional level, Burrow wouldn't even cave into the pressure of gloating about his first-ever NFL score—an impressive rushing touchdown early on against the Chargers.
Although Burrow only really made one crucial mistake—an interception on a botched passing attempt late in the game that did put the Bengals in trouble—his presence was definitely felt as this team should make some strides under his direction this season.
Burrow on the TD run. It felt good at the time. Doesn't matter now. #Bengals

Burrow is fresh off of a stellar season for the LSU Tigers as his final collegiate campaign saw him lead the heralded SEC program to an undefeated record and national championship, all while winning the coveted Heisman Trophy. Even with his professional debut not going as planned in the win column, Burrow appears to have already solidified himself as worthy of the top pick in the 2020 draft.
