The Cleveland Browns found Deshaun Watson another weapon this past spring, trading for wideout Elijah Moore, who struggled in 2022 with the New York Jets after a very promising rookie season. And while it's early in camp, Moore is already opening the eyes of head coach Kevin Stefanski due to his tireless work ethic.

Via PFT:

“I think he’s a very — speaking of taking your craft seriously, I mean, he practices hard,” Stefanski said Monday. “His practice tempo, how he is in walk-throughs, he takes it very seriously — which is great. It’s fun to be around a guy that really works at it. And then he’s taken the bit on everything we’ve asked him to do.

“[We’re] trying to make sure we move him around the formation, trying to use things that we know he’s done well in his past, and also challenge him with some new things. But [he’s] a very, very locked-in player.”

Elijah Moore, who was taken in the second round in 2021, had 37 catches for 446 yards and one TD last year but only started nine games. The Jets made it clear he wasn't in their plans anymore after a busy offseason and that resulted in the Browns pulling the trigger and making a deal happen, even though he wanted a trade during the 22′ season.

And by the sounds of it, Moore's versatility out wide could very well open up more opportunities for him within the Browns offense:

“We love versatility,” Stefanski said. “And versatility in players in and of itself expands your playbook, as you have players that can do more of every job. And to have a player that can play outside and inside, I think, is really valuable. One-position players in this league are probably not as common as they have been. I think you’re always looking for players that can do more.”

We'll see if Moore can turn into a reliable option for Watson in 2023.
