In a wild turn of events, cornerback Kelvin Joseph was apparently involved in a shooting in March that led to the death of a 20-year-old man. After letting the dust settle, the Dallas Cowboys release a statement regarding the incident.
According to Michael Gehlken, the Cowboys claim, “they are aware of (the) ‘tragic incident' that occurred on March 18 and Kelvin Joseph's possible involvement.” Dallas goes on to show their condolences to the family of the victim. Essentially, the franchise is acknowledging the situation, as not all of the information regarding the incident has been released.

Joseph will have to go through a trial and is innocent until proven guilty. However, it sounds like the Cowboys' cornerback might actually have been at the scene of the crime, per Michael Gehlken. According to Kelvin Joseph's lawyer, he “was a passenger inside a vehicle from which several shots were fired.”

Even so, his lawyer claims that Kelvin Joseph was not the person who fired the gun. Even if that's the case, this is not a great look for the Cowboys' cornerback. Although he might not have fired the weapon, Joseph was sitting in the car. It might be enough to consider him an accomplice to the crime. However, that is for a judge and jury to decide once this goes to trial.
This is a terrible situation for the family of the victim. Hopefully, justice is served. Keep an eye on this situation, as the Cowboys will likely remain very involved with everything.
