Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is very confident about his team's abilities to string together some wins when the playoffs get started in a few weeks.

Here's what Jones had to say about the Cowboys' current situation with the postseason just around the corner, courtesy of ESPN's Todd Archer:

“I certainly think we're playing the kind of really good football that you can win games in postseason,” owner and general manager Jerry Jones said. “Any of the teams can win the game. We right here had the Giants come right up the backside and win the championship [in 2007]. I think our team is a postseason team.”

The Cowboys officially locked up the No. 4 seed in the NFC with the Week 16 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and now they'll prepare for a Week 17 showdown against the New York Giants.

But with very little to play for in this week's matchup, the focus for many Dallas fans has turned to the playoffs.

And that has Jones already surveying his team's possible chances at getting back to the Super Bowl.

Dallas has been one of the hottest teams in the NFL over the past month and a half, with Jason Garrett's squad winning six of their last seven games.

Of course, that was a major change from the way the team started the season, as they were 3-5 overall following a Week 9 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Now, with things back on track, the Cowboys should be able to give themselves at a deep run in the playoffs given their strengths on both sides of the ball.
