The Denver Broncos were hoping that Emmanuel Sanders' knee injury after the team's emphatic victory over the Tennessee Titans wasn't anything serious. And going by the details being shared about his condition, it seems like Broncos Nation got their wish.

Ian Rapoport reported the positive news that many Denver fans wanted to hear.

Rapoport detailed that the knee injury he incurred midweek just got in the way of him playing in the second half against the Titans. However, it seems like he wasn't needed to play as the defense managed to shut them out of the contest.

It's been a fantastic run of form that came just in time for the Broncos. They face the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, and Patrick Mahomes will be a giant threat that will test the limits of their defense. Their defense showed off against the Titans, but the team is hungry for more.

“We can even be better than that,” defensive lineman Derek Wolfe said. “… A goose egg is great; the ultimate goal is to not let them score a point. But we gave up some random plays that we shouldn’t have gave up. We could’ve shut them down even more.”

With the defense motivated to play at such a high level, the offense has no choice but to respond in kind. While it remains to be seen if they can manage to puncture a hole in the Kansas City defense, it would be comforting for them to know that they could have Sanders ready to play against the Chiefs.
