It has been a wild offseason for the NFL so far, and the craziness won't stop. The Denver Broncos are in a great spot to get back into the playoffs once again, however, the franchise just hit a bump in the road with star wide receiver Jerry Jeudy's arrest on Thursday. Now, Russell Wilson and the Denver fanbase are left asking, what's going on?
According to Ryan O'Halloran, Jeudy was taken into custody between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm:
Arapahoe County Sheriff's office says #Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy was taken in custody between 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today. Jeudy hasn't been booked yet so no information yet on charges.

On Thursday, “Jerry Jeudy was charged with 2nd-degree criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer,” per the Arapahoe Sheriff Department. Of course, the Broncos receiver is innocent until proven guilty, but this is a situation to monitor:
Professional football player Jerry Jeudy has been arrested by Arapahoe Co sheriff deputies. He's being held at the Arapahoe Co jail on charges of 2nd degree criminal tampering w/a domestic violence enhancer, a misdemeanor. He's on a no bond hold. He's innocent until proven guilty

This is not an ideal situation for the Broncos or Jerry Jeudy. The franchise was set up in a nice spot, but now the offense has taken a hit with Jeudy's arrest. For a team that has a ton of promise for the 2022 season, this could prevent the franchise from reaching their full potential.
The Broncos were hoping for their receiving corps to play a large role this upcoming season. Now, there's a chance Jeudy misses training camp altogether. This is a developing story, as everything is still up in the air. He might miss some games, or maybe all of this gets resolved before the start of the season. Regardless, this isn't a great look for the young receiver.
Look for more information to continue trickling in as more news on this situation is bound to come to light.
