Safety Kareem Jackson became the second Denver Broncos player to test positive for COVID-19, and he thinks he knows how he contracted it.
Jackson told 9NEWS that he thinks he might've picked up the virus when he was traveling from Denver over the weekend. It's worth noting that Jackson participated in a peaceful Black Lives Matter march on June 6 in downtown Denver. However, Jackson doesn't believe that's where he contracted the virus.
50 Broncos players participated in the Black Lives Matter march on June 6, and no player tested positive for COVID-19, according to 9NEWS. With that being said, it's very likely that Jackson didn't contract the virus from the march.
Jackson stated that he started to feel flu-like symptoms, including chills and congestion on June 15 and decided to get tested on June 17.
Nevertheless, as Jackson said, he most likely contracted the virus traveling from Denver this past weekend. In the 2019 season, Jackson played phenomenally, recording a pair of interceptions and 71 tackles to go along with 10 passes defended. Unfortunately, he was suspended for the final two games of the season for a violation of the league's Policy and Program on Substances of Abuse.
