The Denver Broncos are now officially under the direction of new head coach Vic Fangio. Although a defensive-minded head coach, Fangio will apparently have some say in his team's offensive game-planning as well.

“I do get involved and will be involved,” Fangio recently said of the Denver offense, via 247 Sports. “Maybe not to the point where I’m talking to Mike Munchak about his steps of the O-Linemen and stuff. But what we’re trying to accomplish offensively and our overall philosophy and the way we go about it, running the ball, passing the ball, I’ll be involved in it.”

Leading to the quick turnaround in Denver, the Broncos notably acquired former Baltimore Ravens quarterback via trade early on in the offseason. Fangio is actually familiar with the veteran signal caller from their days in Baltimore with the Ravens.

“I’ve known Joe for a while,” Fangio said of Flacco, via 247 Sports. “I was obviously in Baltimore his first two years in the league and got to know him some there. Then obviously coaching against him. I haven’t coached against him a ton. Obviously the Super Bowl, and then we played Baltimore once while I was in Chicago. I think I’ve only coached against Joe three or four times total, but I like Joe. I think Joe’s a good football player, a good quarterback, has been productive, has been a winner. I like his personality. I think he’ll be a good fit for us.”

The Broncos are coming off a disappointing campaign in 2018 and will be looking to turn things around in a hurry come 2019.
