Beating the New England Patriots in a meaningful game is something that has very seldom been done over the last two decades. However, Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller may have cracked the code.

Having played his fair share of crucial games against the Patriots, Miller has accrued quite the scouting report. So much so, he even wrote an introspective piece for The Player's Tribune on how it can be done:

To beat the Patriots, you have to sack Tom Brady. You need to do it with a legit threat coming from both sides while rushing only four guys, and you have to do it for four quarters. You have to play mistake-free football. You can’t get caught up in the Tom Brady hype or the Patriots lore. You have to play your game.

You have to be able to get a rush with only four against Tom Brady.

Long story short, the Philadelphia Eagles will have to play a perfect game in order to beat New England in Super Bowl LII. Fortunately, Miller is confident it can be done if they take heed of his advice.

It goes without saying that there is no stopping Brady from eventually making his impact on the game. All a team can hope for is to at least try to slow him down. The only way to do so is through a formidable pass rush.

The New York Giants proved that in Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI. Meanwhile, the Broncos put a stamp on that notion when they defeated the Patriots in the AFC Championship game in 2014 after limiting Brady to 277 yards and a touchdown, and again in 2016 ahead of Super Bowl 50.
