The Denver Broncos are 2-5 to begin the season, and Von Miller hasn't been getting the sack numbers that he's accustomed to. Despite the early struggles, Miller is ready to ‘get spicy‘ to spurn his sacking woes.

I am rushing hard, trying to get there, getting pressure, getting close, but just not making that play,” Miller said, via Troy Renck of Denver7. “As tough as it is to see, 2.5 sacks, for my fans, you can only imagine how I feel about that, coming into the season with the highest expectations you can probably think of. We still have that [expectation] now. You can’t really be stinkin’ thinkin’, staying in the dumpster.”

Before the season began, Miller exclaimed that he wanted to break Michael Strahan's season sack record and surpass Bruce Smith in career sacks. However, the veteran outside linebacker will need to gather another 20.5 sacks to catch Strahan's single-season record.

Over the course of his nine seasons in the NFL, Miller's career-low in sacks in a season is five. Even though that five-sack campaign came when the dominant edge-rusher missed seven games due to suspension and injury.

This year, sacks have been hard to come by with Bradley Chubb being out for the season on the other side. As a matter of fact, Miller didn't even appear in the box score with any stats in last week's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Nevertheless, if there's any defensive player who can get back on track, it's Miller. The 30-year-old pass rusher will face a talented Indianapolis Colts offensive line in Week 8.
