Through the first 12 weeks of the season, the Philadelphia Eagles have taken the league by storm behind the strong play of second-year quarterback Carson Wentz.
This has quickly led to Wentz skyrocketing in popularity around the league to the point where he's the leading vote-getter for the 2018 Pro Bowl, according to Gil Brandt of NFL.com.

The 24-year-old has taken a significant stride in his second campaign while helping the Eagles become a powerhouse and legitimate Super Bowl contender. He has continued to produce like an elite quarterback, leading the league with 28 touchdown passes while holding a 104.0 passer rating.
Wentz's popularity has reached far beyond just the casual fan as even Cleveland Cavaliers star forward LeBron James has called him his favorite player in the NFL right now. He has shown major improvement in his maturation that has helped lead to much success quite early in his career.
If Wentz can continue this upward trend over the last five weeks of the season while the Eagles rack up more wins in the process, it should not only put him at the forefront of the MVP conversation, but also put his team in a prime position to make a deep playoff run.
