New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is having an objectively down season. Despite it being like this for a few years now, it will still be a very interesting offseason for the Giants, as the QB and franchise will need to figure out what to do moving forward.

As for the right now, Eli Manning admits to being tired.

“Yeah, yeah, it definitely does,” Manning said, via the New York Post. “It’s no fun losing, it’s no fun not scoring enough points offensively, so yeah, it can wear you out. It’ll test you, but just gotta keep going to the drawing board and find ways to play better and move the ball and score some points.”

The Giants have been especially awful on the offensive side of the football during their last two games. After somehow beating the Kansas City Chiefs with only 12 points, New York barely managed to put any numbers on the scoreboard on Thanksgiving, finishing with a paltry 10 against the Washington Redskins.

There is a decent chance that New York goes in full rebuild mode in the offseason. With Manning either regressing or just aging out, coupled with Ben McAdoo almost certainly gone at the end of the season, it makes nearly zero sense to keep the formula as is and continue to hope it works down the road.

It doesn't help that the rest of the (good) NFC East has young and good quarterbacks. Unless Manning discovers the fountain of youth, there's really nowhere to go but further down the pit of sadness the Giants are already wallowing in.
