Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has always been proud of coming from California and has tried to give back to the kids from around his hometown.
According to Joe Davidson of the Sacramento Bee, Rodgers purchased and donated 375 helmets to Chico High, Paradise High, and Pleasant Valley, the last being his alma mater. The donation was made through the Aaron Rodgers Foundation.
This was an area that ravaged by the Camp Fire and another great gesture for the kids just trying to continue on with their new life.
Paradise High School coach Rick Prinz had nothing but high praise for Rodgers and the donation back to his hometown.

“I’ve been the head coach now for eight years and not one time have I ever had to ask Aaron for anything. He calls or texts every year and says, ‘Coach, here is what I would like to do. Is this OK?’ He does so much for our school and community that most people have no idea.”
The helmets donated are the VICIS ZERO1 model and the Packers star quarterback said he picked them because it's a company that is committed to safety, and that's something that is important to him.
“For me, this is a chance to step up and support the community where I was born and raised. I chose to invest in VICIS because of their ultimate commitment to player protection. These kids deserve the best, and I’m happy to play a small role in outfitting them with the safest helmets.”
Rodgers has always been involved with charity work during his career, and no matter if it's in Green Bay or his hometown, he is always giving back.
