The Green Bay Packers claimed their spot at the top of the NFC North after a convincing 23-10 win against the Minnesota Vikings. Aaron Rodgers is definitely happy that they won't have to start their climb for the Super Bowl in the Wild Card round.

However, there's one more reason why Rodgers is happy that they won convincingly over the Vikings. While some may see it as petty, plenty of others will consider it as great thinking from the franchise star.

Rodgers took the chance at the post-game press conference to make a swipe at Minnesota fans. The reason for the burn? Their jeers towards him when he suffered a broken collarbone at the US Bank Stadium back in 2017.

Here's what Rodgers had to say about it, courtesy of The Athletic's Matt Schneidman:

For those who need a refresher, the injury he sustained that game was an unfortunate one after a hard hit by Anthony Barr. It incapacitated him for the game and the remainder of the 2017 season, and Vikings fans leered at him for it. The win was justice for him and it allowed him to celebrate at the expense of Vikings Nation.

The game was far from perfect for Rodgers. He finished without a touchdown, and while he completed 216 passing yards, he threw one interception and was sacked three times.

Rodgers didn't mind the ugly stat line he had, though. All he cared about was winning the game.

Per Pro Football Talk's Darin Gantt:

“But there’s a lot of emphasis on looking pretty or dominating in a way that befits your explanation,” Rodgers said. “But I thought [that] was a really good performance for us. We had good balance, we ran the ball well, we just turned it over three times. But it doesn’t matter how we get it done as long as we get it done.”

Rodgers and the Packers will finish the season with a relatively easy matchup against the Detroit Lions. They will definitely want to win in Week 17 to build some momentum for their playoff campaign.
