The Green Bay Packers are not playing for much at this point going into the 2018 NFL season finale. Regardless, that does not appear to affect wide receiver Davante Adams' desire to play in Week 17.
Adams has been unable to practice due to a knee injury. According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, he still intends to suit up versus the Detroit Lions.

There is no questioning Adams toughness and durability as a bonafide No. 1 wideout. However, it is clear that he is motivated by more than proving himself as a team player. Despite all the noise surrounding Green Bay's lackluster offense this season, he is quietly putting the finishing touches on a historic year.
Adams has easily established himself as one of the elite wideouts in the NFL. His rapport with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and ability to run every pattern on the route tree has helped him put up some historic numbers for Green Bay this season. He has registered 111 receptions for 1,386 yards, and 13 touchdowns heading into Sunday. He needs just two receptions to break the Sterling Sharpe's franchise record for receptions (112) and 133 yards to surpass Jordy Nelson's mark for yards (1,519).
Adams has played at an extremely high level amidst Packers' disastrous 2018 campaign. Fortunately, he has an opportunity to end the year on a high note by etching his name into the history books in just his fifth year in the NFL. It may be a bit of a stretch for Adams to reach all these marks, however, he has proven more than capable of producing big numbers on any given Sunday.
