The Green Bay Packers are hoping Jordan Love is the real deal after he takes over the reins of the offense, succeeding former NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers somewhere down the road.
The 26th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft is one step ahead in the development with a great day of practice, according to head coach Matt LaFleur.
Per Zach Kruse in Packers Wire:

That tends to happen these guys when you have more of a gameplan emphasis going into it. Shrink the playbook down for him. Hopefully, he wasn’t thinking as much out there, and that translated into better performance.”
LaFleur, entering his second year as head coach of the historic professional-football franchise, also had praise to sing for rising third-year wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, calling the 6-foot-4 pass-catching target “pretty consistent.”
Nobody was really sure what to make of the Love selection in the first round of last April's draft class, but surely the Packers intend the former Utah State standout gunslinger to be a perfect replacement for their Super Bowl champion quarterback Rodgers when it's time to part ways.
In the meantime, all Packers fans can do is wait and hope to hear only good things from the progression of Love as Green Bay continues to fiddle with the weapons around Rodgers and seek another title during his tenure.
