A former Green Bay Packers employee was recently charged with disorderly conduct after threatening to engage in terrorist acts at Lambeau Field while drunk at a bar. It appears he has since been handed down his sentence.
According to FOX11, Clayton Exferd was sentenced to 10 days in jail:
A former Green Bay Packers employee who threatened to “blow up the stadium and shoot everyone in it” while drunk at a bar was sentenced to 10 days in jail.
Exferd has since stated that he had no recollection of these events and attributed the incident ion being under the influence of alcohol.
“Exferd stated he had no recollection of any negative or threatening comments he ever made. Detective Steffens asked Exferd if he did not recall because it was the “booze talking,” and Exferd stated, “must have.” Exferd stated he did not have access to weapons and had no intentions of harming anyone,” the complaint states.
Exferd had initially pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor during a court appearance back in September of 2019. He was released on a signature bond and ordered not to have contact with Lambeau Field or the Packers and not to consume alcohol.
Article Continues BelowExferd worked at the stadium for 16 years before his recent retirement. Whether or not he was drunk, his comments were still good reason for law enforcement to take action given the current climate in today's society. More importantly, the Packers can now proceed with business as usual now that they have officially shifted gears toward the offseason.
