On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers came crashing back down to Earth with a brutal 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns to give them their first loss of the season. All of the Super Bowl talk and undefeated season speculation that occurred in the wake of Green Bay's 2-0 start has been put on hold for the foreseeable future after the setback.

Despite the loss, however, it was a great day for star pass rusher Micah Parsons, whom the Packers acquired just prior to the start of the season from the Dallas Cowboys.

“Packers DE Micah Parsons had 8 pressures on 28 pass-rushing snaps, including 4 quick pressures (under 2.5 seconds). His 28.6 percent pressure rate was his highest in a game since 2023,” reported Zach Kruse of The Packers Wire on X, formerly Twitter, citing a report from Next Gen Stats.

Indeed, Parsons was able to put immense pressure on Joe Flacco throughout the afternoon on Sunday in Cleveland, and the Packers' defense as a whole mostly held up their end of the bargain.

However, Jordan Love and the offense were unable to get much of anything going, mustering just 10 points in the defeat.

Coming into the game against the Browns, the Green Bay Packers had stacked up back to back wins over the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders, both in relatively easy fashion.

This had some fans speculating that this Packers team could be a truly elite squad, capable of winning the whole thing in the wake of the Parsons trade.

While Parsons has mostly performed well so far during his Packers tenure, Sunday's loss proved why those talks were quite premature, and now, Green Bay will look ahead to the rest of the season with more realistic expectations in place. Step one will be about figuring out what went wrong for Love and the Green Bay offense in the loss to Cleveland, and moving on from there.

The Packers will next take the field on Sunday evening for a highly-anticipated game against the Cowboys, in which Parsons will make his return to Dallas.
