The Green Bay Packers made a few changes this offseason—including replacing Mike McCarthy. There were reports that Aaron Rodgers and McCarthy having issues with each other.
In an article by Mike Sando of The Athletic, an NFL GM made critical comments about Rodgers. The article was made for 55 coaches and executives in the NFL to rank their quarterbacks.
After McCarthy was fired last season, fans and the media began to blame him for the Packers recent struggles. But an anonymous GM wasn't trying to put all of the blame on just McCarthy.
Article Continues Below“It was always Ted Thompson or Mike McCarthy’s fault, and when it gets to be two people’s fault, then you wonder,” a GM who nonetheless placed Rodgers in the top tier said. “You see the body language and then you realize the heroics come when there is nothing to lose.”

Even at this point of his career, Rodgers is still one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Although, the All-Pro quarterback has received criticism for how things have unfolded in Green Bay.
It was known that McCarthy and Rodgers were never fully on the same page. When you hear the full extent of their relationship, it's crazy to realize that the Packers won the Super Bowl in 2010.
Nonetheless, McCarthy is out of a job while Rodgers has a ton of pressure heading into 2019. Green Bay has missed the playoffs for two straight seasons and they will need their franchise quarterback to lead them back to the postseason.
Obviously, Rodgers gives off a vibe that rubs people the wrong way—including an NFL GM who believes Rodgers has been part of the problem in Green Bay.
