The Green Bay Packers are reportedly looking to trade up in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft for a wide receiver, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The Packers possess two first-round picks after their trade with the Las Vegas Raiders. In that trade that involved Davante Adams, the Packers received the No. 22 pick along with the No. 53 overall pick. That gives them four picks in the first two rounds.

With that, they have plenty of ammunition to trade up. As reported by Pelissero, the most likely position would be for a wide receiver. With Adams' departure, the Packers desperately need a WR (or two) to satisfy Aaron Rodgers.

In NFL.com's latest mock draft, Peter Schrager had the Packers trading up to select Ohio State WR Chris Olave at the 14th pick. There's no clear consensus on the top receiver in the draft, as Olave, Garrett Wilson, and Jameson Williams have garnered consideration.

Those three are all potential options for Green Bay, although no one specifically knows who their favorites are. If they fail to reach a deal to trade up, Jahan Dotson is another potential option at either of their first-round picks or perhaps even one of their second-round picks.

The Packers did recently sign veteran Sammy Watkins to a one-year, $4 million deal. The other receivers on the team include Allen Lazard, 2021 third-rounder Amari Rodgers, and Randall Cobb.

While the room does have some talent and veteran leadership, it would come as no surprise to see the Packers select two wideouts in the draft. We'll find out sooner rather than later, as the 2022 NFL Draft begins Thursday evening.
