Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson had his elbow banged up in the team’s 37-31 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16, but it doesn’t appear that he will miss time.
Watson hasn’t been listed on the Texans’ injury reports throughout the week and is still expected to start when they wrap up their season against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
In fact, Texans interim head coach Romeo Crennel is so sure that the star signal-caller will play against the playoff-bound Titans that he only sees one way that Watson gets taken out of the game (via Aaron Reiss of The Athletic).

Tennessee heads into the Week 17 game against the Texans tied with the Indianapolis Colts at 10-5 and is still not a lock to reach the postseason.
Despite a most trying season, Watson has been one of the few bright spots for the 4-11 Texans and is having the best season of his young NFL career. He has played in all 15 of Houston’s games this season, with 354 completions, 4,450 passing yards, and 30 touchdowns, all of which which are career bests.
Making the former Clemson quarterback’s achievements more impressive is that it came during the season after they traded top wide receiver Deandre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals. The 25-year-old has been impressive in his third season in the NFL, and even if the Texans are only playing for pride at this point, it appears that Watson wants to finish the year with the team instead of resting his elbow in the team’s final game of the season.
