Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson was left on the ground after he was banged up by opposing lineman Sam Hubbard near the 33-yard line in the fourth quarter of their Week 16 encounter against the Cincinnati Bengals. Despite the injury scare, Watson insisted that he will still play in their last game of the season against the Tennessee Titans.

“Yeah, I will,” Watson said via USA Today. “I’ll play.”

The 25-year-old's right arm was caught in the facemask of Hubbard as he was attempting to throw a pass in the pocket. After he was shaken up due to the collision, Watson still managed to gather himself to participate in the game's final drive where he attempted to lead a late-game comeback. Down 37-31 with 21 seconds left on the clock, the gunslinger eventually ran out of time to inch closer to the Bengals' lead, as the Texans ultimately picked up yet another loss.

The outcome of the game was a depiction of the Texans' disappointing campaign all throughout the 2020 NFL season. Even after parting ways with their former head coach and general manager in Bill O'Brien, the Houston-based squad still failed to get back on the right track and continued on their downward spiral.

Interim head coach Romeo Crennel and his men have already lost out on their postseason aspirations since Week 14 of the season. Currently holding a 4-11 record and third in the AFC South, the Texans are already looking ahead to the next season in hopes of a better campaign moving forward.

Deshaun Watson's expected return on the field for their last game of the season against the Titans will hopefully help the team arrest their four-game losing skid and end their woeful campaign on a positive note.
