The Jacksonville Jaguars have been playing like one of the worst teams in football all season long and that doesn't look like it's going to change under head coach Urban Meyer. Not only has Meyer been a disappointment on the field, but he has also caused major issues off the field. The Jaguars locker room is nowhere near where it needs to be and that could definitely contribute to some of the misfortunes that they have dealt with this season.
If the Jaguars want to turn their organization around, Urban Meyer needs to walk out of the door. There is no place for him anymore due to what he has done off the field. At the end of the day, the Jaguars were expected to struggle this season. That's not the issue with what is going on with Meyer. If his team was simply just struggling as many expected them to, most would turn their head the other way and continue to have him run the organization. Unfortunately, this is just half of what Meyers has not been able to do and he's causing major issues inside of the locker room.
The Jaguars have an interesting future. They have arguably the best quarterback prospect that has come out of college in nearly the past two decades. Trevor Lawrence has drawn comparisons to guys like Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Dan Marino, and every other great quarterback who has ever played in this league. He hasn't exactly panned out the way that many were hoping for but he can't do much when he has little to no help.
Article Continues BelowMeyers has done a terrible job in the development of his star Quarterback and that's another reason why he needs to go. He essentially wasted a year of all of their team's talents because he has not developed them and hasn't even been somebody who they could go to if ever needed.
He has done everything that a head coach should not do and that is the reason why he needs to be fired. Once again, if he was just losing football games like many expected the Jaguars to do, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Getting into arguments with coaches from his coaching staff and players, while telling them that he's not a loser and that they need to play better, is a major issue. There is no accountability from Meyers and that's a big issue as a head coach.
Jacksonville needs to get him out and they need to do it as soon as possible.
