The Jacksonvilel Jaguars have three quarterbacks on the roster, but Doug Marrone hinted the team could still be looking at bringing in a veteran quarterback. Marrone made it clear on Friday during an appearance on “Good Morning Football” on NFL Network that Gardner Minshew is still the team's starting quarterback But they are still looking at bringing in a veteran quarterback.

“He’s our QB there’s no doubt about it, but one of the things we’re doing, we’re still looking to make sure we’re upgraded at each position. There are some vets out there we might look at to bring in along with the guys we have,” Marrone said.

The big question is which quarterback could they go after. Cam Newton has been available for a while, but the Jaguars haven't pulled the trigger on him yet. The Cincinnati Bengals released Andy Dalton earlier in the week, s0 maybe he could be the player the Jaguars are going to target.

The Jaguars also have Josh Dobbs and Jake Lutton on the roster, but with a young quarterback, a veteran would probably be a big upgrade, even if it's just as a backup.

The Jaguars had Nick Foles on the roster but they got rid of him and his big contract to the Chicago Bears earlier in the offseason. This is probably going to be another down year for the Jaguars, but if they can get good development out of Minshew, it would still be a success. Bringing in Dalton or Newton could help that out.
