Nick Foles is entering a new season with a new team, as he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier in this NFL offseason and is hoping to help turn things around in Jacksonville. However, that does not mean he is focused on football 24/7 during his time off.

As a matter of fact, Foles barely even touched a football during his last break before training camp, saying he needs to step away sometimes:

″In the offseason, guys have different routines. I always like getting away from it a little bit,″ Foles said, according to John Reid of The Florida Times-Union. ″That’s something I’ve always done.″

Foles says this is something he has been doing since entering the NFL as a rookie with the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2012, but now that he is back on the field, he is all business:

″I just love the first day,″ said Foles. ″I was excited to get back and throw and fire it around. You know that you might not be as accurate, and you may not be as great on your deep ball, that’s part of it. But I felt like I’m more hypersensitive to all my fundamentals on these days, and I get to go out there and have fun and get it back.″

The 30-year-old is two seasons removed from leading the Eagles to their first-ever Super Bowl title, as he relieved an injured Carson Wentz late in the season and led Philadelphia through a magical playoff run.

Foles then stepped up in Wentz's stead again in 2018, as Wentz was lost after 11 games due to a back injury. He proceeded to lead the Eagles to a Wild Card Round upset of the Chicago Bears before falling to the New Orleans Saints in the Divisional Round.
