The Jacksonville Jaguars are about to put an end to an incredibly disappointing season, but in spite of the gloom and doom atmosphere around Jacksonville, the team will be keeping Doug Marrone as its head coach, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Jaguars came into the 2018 campaign with very high expectations. A year removed from making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game and having the New England Patriots on the ropes, Jacksonville was picked by some to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this season.

However, things have not exactly panned out.

The Jaguars currently own a record of just 4-10 and will obviously miss the playoffs, putting forth what has been the most disappointing season in the NFL this year.

To make matters worse, the Jaguars actually got off to a 3-1 start this year before proceeding to lose seven straight games and nine of 10 overall.

Jacksonville's offense has been absolutely anemic in recent weeks, scoring just 28 points over the last three weeks combined. Quarterback Blake Bortles was benched in favor of Cody Kessler following a Week 12 loss to the Buffalo Bills, and Kessler has not done any better.

The Jaguars will certainly be in the market for a quarterback this offseason, as it is becoming blatantly obvious that the team needs some help on the offensive side of the football even if the defense remains very good.

Jacksonville will spend its final two weeks of the season on the road, first taking on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and wrapping things up with the Houston Texans next week.
