The Jacksonville Jaguars have real playoff aspirations this season. While this is largely due to the defensive side of the ball, all involved know the offense does need to hold up its end of the bargain. Oh, hello there, Leonard Fournette.

Leonard Fournette, who has been dealing with an injury, has been removed from the team's medical report. In turn, this means that the electric rookie is expected to play in Week 9.

He ha also been practicing with the team since Wednesday. Originally, coaches wanted to see how he would hope up before making any declarations about his ability. Now, however, with him removed from the report, it is apparently go-time.

This is, obviously, huge news for the Jaguars.

While Jacksonville does have some depth at the position, with TJ Yeldon filling in nicely last week, Leonard Fournette is simply too dynamic for the team to be OK without having.

Again, in lieu of Fournette, the Jaguars featured mostly Yeldon in the backfield against the Indianapolis Colts. He did go for 122 rushing yards and a touchdown. It wasn’t a big dip in production.

It is certainly worth noting that a bye week in Week 7 certainly aided in getting the rookie back on the field quicker. Time off, coupled with sitting last weekend, provided him ample time to heal. In fact, he could possibly return to the second-half of the season refreshed. A scary thing to consider if you're an opposing defense.

Fournette leads the team with 596 rushing yards and six rushing scores. Hot-take: He's good.
