After HBO's exclusive interview with Antonio Brown made the rounds on Tuesday, the wide receiver faced some backlash regarding some of his remarks. When Brown and his lawyer revealed that the Buccaneers tried to pay him a staggering amount of money in order to seek mental health treatment, the controversial wide receiver likened mental health facilities to a “crazy house.” Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Solomon Thomas heard Brown's remarks and lambasted the former Bucs wide receiver for his insensitivity via his Instagram story.

“Lawyer is worried about a disservice to those who struggle from mental health. While his client is calling a mental health institution a ‘crazy house.' Please do not disrespect those who are trying to be better. Be better.”

Solomon didn't mince words with his harsh criticism of Brown, and it's easy to see where the former Stanford Cardinal standout is coming from. Thomas has long been an advocate for mental health awareness. He launched a nonprofit foundation, The Defensive Line Foundation, in 2021 in honor of his late sister Ella. The foundation aims to bring awareness to mental health and prevent youth suicides. The Raiders' star donated $8,000 for every sack he recorded in 2021.

Brown revealed during his interview that the Buccaneers were concerned about his mental health and allegedly offered him as much as $200,000 to seek mental health treatment. While Brown's lawyer talked about how the offer was a disservice to those who suffered from mental health issues, his client spouted on, calling mental health facilities a “crazy house.”

Naturally, Brown's comments have rubbed people the wrong way, and Thomas didn't hold back when blasting the wide receiver for his narrow-minded views.
