The Las Vegas Raiders made some serious moves in the offseason, acquiring stars like Davante Adams and Chandler Jones in a clear win-now move. However, the controversy that surrounds the team still lingers to this team. This became evident when they abruptly fired team president Dan Ventrelle on Friday night.

Initially, it was unclear why Ventrelle was fired from his post as Raiders president. Ventrelle wouldn't take long to answer this question, however. Mick Akers shared a text from the ex-president detailing his firing. The contents of it are, well, damning, to say the least.

Oh boy. According to Dan Ventrelle, Raiders owner Mark Davis fired him after bringing up his workplace concerns to the league. The ex-president cited a “hostile work environment” within the team, and said that he has brought this up to Davis himself. When Davis didn't act on his complaint, Ventrelle brought this up to the NFL itself, something that he says the owner didn't like.

The Raiders were caught up in a storm of turmoil last season, mostly revolving around Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock. With both men leaving the team, many fans hoped that they brought the drama with them out of Vegas. Clearly, though, that isn't the case.

Despite the chaos in their front office, there's still plenty to be excited about for Raiders fans. The additions of Adams and Jones will surely help them reach new heights this season. Adams, in particular, will be an exciting addition as he teams up with his former college quarterback Derek Carr.
