In the first year under Gruden, it has been difficult for the Raiders to find their way on the field that has featured plenty of struggles along the way. This has all led to them holding a 2-9 record heading into the Week 13 matchup against the Chiefs. Oakland has had issues on both sides of the ball that flared up from time to time as the year has worn along.

This has led to plenty of shifting around the organization along the way, but Gruden has maintained that strong mindset at the top of his organization that he has voiced with hopes it could help bring the right mentality toward resurrecting the franchise. It has been nothing short of an uphill battle along the way that will feature some more difficulties as they maneuver through the final five weeks of the regular season.

It will feature what will be a tough performance against the Chiefs, who have arguably the most explosive 0ffense in the league lead by MVP candidate Patrick Mahomes, who has been on a historic pace throwing the ball. Given the Raiders' issues defensively against the pass, it has the making for Kansas City to put up a huge performance on the road. Nonetheless, this is a chance for Oakland to finally string together an encouraging performance in what has been nothing short of a frustrating 2018 campaign.
