The Oakland Raiders find themselves in a precarious position with the Tuesday NFL trade deadline approaching.
They are 3-4, so while they are not currently in the playoffs, they are at least in the postseason picture. So, they may not be good enough to buy, but they also might not be bad enough to sell.
As for Jon Gruden's plan?
The Raiders head coach says that the team is taking things into consideration such as players on expiring deals or with lucrative salaries and have to weigh those factors against things such as losing draft picks, according to Jerry McDonald of The Oakland Tribune.
Oakland already made a trade last week, sending cornerback and former first-round pick Gareon Conley to the Houston Texans.
The Raiders are hardly strangers to swinging trades under Gruden, as Gruden dealt superstar pass rusher Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears just before the start of the 2018 campaign, and midway through last season, he sent wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys.
It seems somewhat unlikely that Gruden will do anything that drastic this time around, but you never know what he has up his sleeve.
Oakland is coming off of a three-point loss to the Texans on Sunday and has now lost two games in a row after putting together a couple of impressive wins over the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears.
The Raiders will now head back home to host the Detroit Lions next Sunday.
Oakland has made just one playoff appearance since last making the Super Bowl during the 2002-03 campaign.
