Star defensive end Maxx Crosby didn't hold back in expressing his frustrations after the Las Vegas Raiders suffered an early playoffs exit against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Raiders succumbed to the Bengals in their Wild Card showdown on Saturday, 26-19, struggling early on and trailing 20-13 at halftime. Of course they weren't helped by a rather controversial call before the first half ended when an egregious whistle gave Cincinnati a touchdown.

After the contest, Crosby didn't hide his emotions while reflecting on their journey to the postseason. It wasn't easy, and it's definitely painful to see it end rather quickly.

“I had so much fun this year. It sucks that it’s over,” Crosby said of the loss, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic.

Derek Carr, Maxx Crosby and the rest of the Raiders tried to get back in the game in the second half, stopping Joe Burrow from finding the end zone. However, they couldn't muster anything offensively as well.

The Raiders had a rather up-and-down season, highlighted by Jon Gruden's shocking firing mid-way through the campaign. They battled through it and were able to sneak into the Wild Card, but clearly, they didn't have enough tools to compete with some of the top teams yet.

For what it's worth, though, Las Vegas can only use the experience as a springboard. It is their first postseason appearance in four years, and if they are able to keep the momentum going heading to next season and build some consistency, a return trip is not far-fetched at all.
