The Oakland Raiders have remained adamant that they are perfectly fine with Derek Carr under center heading into next season, but that does not mean they won't explore adding a young quarterback through the NFL Draft.

According to Michael Silver of NFL Network, the Raiders are very high on Ohio State signal-caller Dwayne Haskins, who is expected by many to be the second quarterback off the board after Kyler Murray later this month.

Of course, the Raiders would also be happy if Murray was on the board when they pick at No. 4 overall, but the consensus is that the Arizona Cardinals will be taking Murray with the first overall pick.

Haskins is coming off of a terrific junior campaign in which he threw for 4,831 yards, 50 touchdowns, and eight interceptions while completing 70 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 174.1.

Lauded for his arm strength and his pocket presence, Haskins is not exactly a mobile quarterback, which does seem to have some teams having second thoughts about him. As a result, his draft stock has reportedly dropped recently.

However, you can't ignore production, and Haskins was likely the best passer in college football this past year.

The Raiders have had an incredibly busy offseason, adding the likes of Antonio Brown, Trent Brown, Lamarcus Joyner and Vontaze Burfict, among others.

Oakland won just four games in 2018 and has made the playoffs only once since last making it to the Super Bowl during the 2002 campaign, so the Bay Area is starving for some success before the Raiders move to Las Vegas.
