Oakland Raiders coach Jon Gruden is known for having a tough coaching style, but one thing is common for the players under him, they all love him. This is Tyrell Williams' first year with the Raiders and said the thing he didn't know about Gruden is just how good he is with the one-liners and even though he is tough, he also is good at keeping the mood loose.

Via NBC Sports Bay Area:

“Obviously, you see the mic’d up’s and stuff before I started playing for him,” Williams said. “So, I mean just being around him he’s hilarious and fun to be around so it’s been awesome, just his one-liners and all that stuff is just fun and seeing him on the sidelines in games is comedy, too. It’s been a lot of fun being around him.”

Quarterback Derek Carr knows that Gruden can be really tough on him and others and that on television it looks like he is mean. Carr knows deep down that Gruden really cares about him and the rest of the guys and that is what he has so much respect for him.

“You know how much he cares about you. You know where his heart is,” Carr said. “You just say, ‘Yes sir.’ He’s just trying to make you better, so we never had a problem. I’ve had some head coaches, I won’t throw their names out there. I’ve had some certain coaches in my life, especially in college, that were the same way, so I’ve been used to that for sure.”

The coach has a good relationship with the players is huge, and now the fans hope that this will result in more wins for the Raiders.
