The Los Angeles Chargers suffered their second straight loss at the hands of the Carolina Panthers in Week 3. To make matters worse, cornerback Chris Harris has been added to the long list of injuries this team has dealt with to start the 2020 NFL season.
According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Harris is expected to miss four to six weeks with a foot injury:
Sources: #Chargers CB Chris Harris Jr suffered a foot injury in the team’s loss to the #Panthers that is expected to keep him out at least a month and potentially 6 weeks. Another brutal injury for the LAC secondary, but Harris will be back this season.

Most of the Chargers' key injuries so far have come on the defensive side of the ball. It started with safety Derwin James suffering a season-ending kneee injury in training camp. Their woes continued with linebacker Drue Tranquill, defensive end Melvin Ingram, and defensive tackle Justin Jones all currently dealing with severe injuries.
The loss of Harris now leaves Los Angeles without its most integral member of the secondary. The tram made quite a splash when they signed the four-time Pro bowler to a two-year, $20 million contract. He has done a solid job of providing them with some bang for their buck by registering 15 tackles and one pass defense while playing in 92.35% of the defensive snaps through the first three games.

The team may consider putting him on injured reserve and using the extra roster spot to shore up some depth since it will only be three weeks before he is eligible to come off. In the meantime, cornerback Desmond King is expected to fill the void.
