Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon did not exactly have a great game in the Chargers' Wild Card Round win over the Baltimore Ravens last weekend, rushing for just 40 yards on 17 carries. Part of that was because the Ravens' defense is very good. The other reason may be because Gordon is still dealing with a lingering knee injury he suffered in Los Angeles' season finale.
The Chargers are taking it easy with Gordon, limiting the halfback in practice on Thursday ahead of the team's Divisional Round playoff matchup with the New England Patriots on Sunday, according to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.
Gordon is likely to play and has said he is good to go, but this is definitely something worth keeping an eye on.

In addition, he hauled in 50 receptions for 490 yards and four scores en route to his second Pro Bowl selection. The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Wisconsin, was originally selected by the Bolts in the first round (15th pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.
He had an underwhelming rookie campaign, rushing for just 641 yards without a touchdown, but the following year Gordon made the Pro Bowl after finishing with 997 yards and 10 scores in 13 games. Gordon then eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in 2017, posting 1,105 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
The Chargers won 12 games this season, but due to the fact that the Kansas City Chiefs held the tiebreaker in the AFC West, Los Angeles was forced to settle for a Wild Card spot.
