The Los Angeles Chargers have been named as a possible candidate to land Tom Brady in free agency, and Tom Telesco, the GM of the Chargers, didn't deny or confirm the rumors. Amid the rumors, the speculation that Brady could sign with the Chargers sparked a reaction from Telesco.
“You have to be careful about splashes,” Telesco said via SiriusXM NFL Radio. “Not a lot of substance to it usually, not a lot of sustainability. You gotta be careful with that. You’re making decisions to win football games.”
Following a dismal 2019 season, the Chargers have already chosen to move on from Philip Rivers. As a result, the Chargers are going to be among the teams in the market for a quarterback.
Of course, Brady is the most accomplished quarterback that will be available in free agency. Despite spending 20 years with the New England Patriots, Brady is going to test free agency for the first time in his career.

There's no doubt that signing Brady would increase the ticket revenue for the Chargers. However, Telesco pointed out that he's ‘making decisions to win football games,' not to sell tickets.
With that being said, that could mean that Telesco believes Brady is only classified as a flashy move. On the other hand, he could be hinting at Brady being a target for the Chargers due to his ability to give them the best chance to win.
