The Los Angeles Rams are the team to beat right now after winning the Super Bowl. With the offseason in full swing, the front office has been kept busy maintaining a championship-level roster. However, all eyes are on Aaron Donald right now after he teased a retirement announcement in February. With his latest comments, LA fans might need to hit the panic button soon.

According to Bleacher Report, Aaron Donald is essentially giving the Rams an ultimatum. The superstar defensive tackle is content with retiring from the NFL, however, he would be interested to return to a winning franchise. Luckily for LA, they're in a position to repeat for another Super Bowl win. The trick is, can Los Angeles offer him an extension he can't refuse?

“I'll be fine regardless, but me talking about retirement, that was happening way before we won a Super Bowl. I've been saying that since I got into the league I was going to play eight years and be done. That's just what I've been saying. … If I was to play, it's just to win another Super Bowl, but at the end of the day, it's still a business and it got to make sense to me and my family,” – Rams star Aaron Donald.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, claims LA has been in talks with Donald to extend him to a “new deal that promises to be record-breaking,” per Bleacher Report. If that's the case, then perhaps the Rams will retain the superstar defensive tackle for at least one more year. If not, then Los Angels have some mighty big shoes to fill.

Keep an eye on the Rams once June rolls around, as the franchise might be able to pull off a massive extension to keep Aaron Donald with the team for the 2022 season. If they can get a deal done, then LA should be viewed as the favorite in the NFC.
