It appears as though the Los Angeles Rams will have the services of wide receiver Cooper Kupp sooner rather than later. According to Steve Wyche of NFL Media, the Rams will not be placing the recently injured wideout on the team's physically unable to perform (PUP) list this offseason.

Kupp notably suffered a severe leg injury toward the end of last season, one that ultimately ended his year prematurely.

While the Rams have quite the stacked offense to begin with, Kupp still plays a vital role for Los Angeles while serving as the team's go-to slot receiver. Not only that, but Rams quarterback Jared Goff seems to play much better when Kupp is on the field, as recently pointed out by Cameron DaSilva of USA TODAY Sports.

“Since Kupp entered the league in 2017, he has done nothing but be the go-to slot receiver for Los Angeles as the Rams’ quarterback has had a 127.0 passer rating, 11 touchdowns and just two interceptions when targeting the young receiver with catchable passes. Although, they’re not the longest-tenured couple – Kupp’s 84.9 catchable pass percentage leads all qualifying duos.”

Last season, despite losing Kupp before the start of the postseason, the Rams still managed to become NFC Champions en route to reaching the Super Bowl. However, the Rams offense ultimately stalled in a major way come last season's title game as the heralded New England Patriots defeated Los Angeles, 13-3, to win the franchise's sixth title overall.

Although it has been quite some time since the Rams have won a Super Bowl, Los Angeles will surely contend once again come the 2019 campaign.
