The Los Angeles Rams desperately want to avoid a repeat of what happened in Week 18 when they faced the San Francisco 49ers, and so even before they sealed their NFC Title game berth, they already made preparations.

For what it's worth, the winner of the Sunday showdown between the Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers were assured of hosting rights for the Conference Championship against the 49ers. And as if they knew they would be winning, the LA sales department was ready for what could be another influx of San Francisco fans visiting SoFi Stadium.

As reported by Jason Owens of Yahoo Sports, the Rams had a warning for those trying to purchase a ticket:

“Public sales to the game at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA will be restricted to residents of the Greater Los Angeles region. Residency will be based on credit card billing address at checkout. Orders by residents outside of the Greater Los Angeles region will be canceled without notice and given refunds.”

Clearly, they do not want 49ers fans flocking the SoFi Stadium and making life hard for the Rams once again. To recall, that's what happened in the season finale when San Francisco looked like they were the home team in LA's stadium with the sea of red enveloping it.

In fact, Rams QB Matthew Stafford spoke about it, noting how difficult the environment was–something that we only usually hear from visiting players.

“We had a chance there at the end of the game. I thought our guys did a good job communicating. It was a tough environment for us to communicate in, really, the whole second half,” Stafford said at the time after their 27-24 loss to the Niners.

Now, Stafford and the whole team can rest easy that there will be more home fans when they play for the conference title next weekend.
