Since being acquired over the offseason from the Kansas City Chiefs, Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Peters has quickly fit into the fold with the Los Angeles Rams.
Peters has been a crucial part of the team's success to begin the 2018 season being the last undefeated team through the first seven games played. With that in mind, Peters voiced during a recent interview on the Logan Murdock Podcast that he wants to stay with the franchise long-term, via Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire.

When you look at what we have with the youth and you look at what we can do over those years, why would you want to leave that? Why would you want to make that sacrifice of going somewhere else and you know it’s not going to be better.
“I don’t see no youth right now out there that’s really doing it.”
The Rams have already picked up his $9 million fifth-year option for the 2019 season that will keep him under contract through the next two years. This at the very least allows the team to assess whether he is a strong fit with the franchise beyond that current deal.
At the same time, it appears that he has fit in quite well with the team and the culture that has been established around the franchise. Peters has continued to voice that he has been satisfied with his time in Los Angeles that has increasingly become more apparent over the last few weeks.
Peters has struggled through stretches, but that has been partly due to him working his way back to form for a calf injury. If he's able to get prove that he can be a key piece to their secondary a new extension should be worked out between both sides potentially before the start of the 2019 campaign. There is still plenty of time until then, but it's clear that Peters is enjoying his time with the Rams.
