The Los Angeles Rams are reportedly on the verge of reaching a deal with defensive tackle Aaron Donald. It seems defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is just as excited about the rumors as Rams fans are.

The Rams defensive starters got their first taste of action last week against Houston Texans. Suh left an intriguing caption on a photo that featured him alongside defensive tackle Michael Brockers and defensive end Dominique Easley on Instagram:

A photo like this is the stuff of nightmares for opposing quarterbacks. The prospect of adding the best defensive player in the NFL is just overkill at this point. Suh was one of the many star-studded additions the Rams made this offseason. They also managed to beef up the secondary with the addition of cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters. That said, the expectations are high for this group going into the 2018 NFL season.

Although Suh's production has dipped in recent years, he is still widely considered one of the best interior lineman in the league. Meanwhile, Brockers has established himself as a stalwart up front as well. With Donald reportedly on the verge of making his return, the trio can now figure out a way to divvy up the dirty work.

Suh's optimism should come as no surprise. He has acknowledged his excitement about playing alongside Donald and Brockers ever since he signed with Los Angeles. Having three formidable defensive tackles up front will force the offensive line to pick their poison. Given Donald's reputation as the NFL's fiercest pass-rusher, the other two will be able to take advantage of their one-on-one matchups.
