On Wednesday night, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported that Brian Allen of the Los Angeles Rams tested positive for the coronavirus. Shortly after the news was broken, Sean McVay spoke about Allen's positive test.
McVay tells Glazer he talked to Brian Allen yesterday and that Allen is "feeling good, he's healthy and he's on the road to recovery."
"He did a great job of letting us know right away so we could be timely in our response in making sure we didn't expose anybody else to that." https://t.co/3S3qZll0tx

Surprisingly enough, Allen is the first active NFL player to be known for testing positive for the coronavirus. At the least, he's on the road to recovery, according to McVay.
In addition, Allen informed the Rams immediately after he discovered that he was a carrier of the coronavirus. Therefore, McVay and other members of the Rams' organization could take the necessary steps to prevent it from spreading to anyone else.
Article Continues BelowAllen, who started nine games at center for the Rams in 2019, was a fourth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Last season, Los Angeles was hoping that he could replace John Sullivan at the center position.
However, after a knee injury, the Rams were forced to have Austin Blythe replace Allen at center. Seeing that Blythe performed well in Allen's absence, Allen likely won't start next season.
Nevertheless, Allen figures to give the Rams some depth along the offensive line in 2020. But before he can do that, he'll need to overcome the coronavirus.
The NFL is hoping to have teams return to their facilities as soon as possible to prepare for training camp later this year. Though, with Allen testing positive for the coronavirus, that could cause the NFL to be hesitant to return to facilities. It goes without saying that we hope to hear that Allen has made a full recovery in the near future.
