The Miami Dolphins have not had much to hang their hat on following an 0-3 start to the 2019 NFL season. Regardless, offensive coordinator Chad O'Shea is taking an optimistic approach to their struggles thus far.

It is no secret that the Dolphins have yet to find their rhythm on offense. According to Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald, O'Shea is focused on improving with each week:

“I think what’s really important for us is to keep improving,” O’Shea said. “Although the stats aren’t exactly where we want them to be, we are just going to continue in the process of improving and that’s what we’re asking our players. That’s certainly how we’re approaching it from a coaching staff, just to focus on improving every day. Getting better, not only the schematics, but the fundamentals and our overall preparation improving. I think all of those things are continuing to improve and we’re making progress.”

O'Shea's comments are certainly understandable given the current situation in Miami. The team changed quarterbacks in an attempt to spice things up on offense. Although it did not help them reach the end zone for the second consecutive week, there were some notable improvements on offense with quarterback Josh Rosen under center.

Of course, their approach still leaves much to be desired following a 31-6 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3. The offense will need to do much more than just cut down on mistakes and post more yards if they hope to emerge as a viable group at some point this season.

The Dolphins will have a chance to bounce back against the Los Angeles Chargers before heaving a chance to go back to the drawing board with a bye in Week 5.
