Miami Dolphins fourth-year wide receiver DeVante Parker has been steadily making his recovery from a surgically-repaired finger over the last couple of weeks.
According to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Parker is expected to make his season debut on Sunday afternoon against the Oakland Raiders.

The Dolphins have been moving around the situation precautiously in order to avoid any possible setbacks for Parker. This has led to the team holding him out of Week 2 action against the New York Jets because there was the belief that his finger wasn't completely healed. Although this is the expected plan of action, Miami will likely look to gather more clear certainty that he has fully recovered from the ailment before giving him the green light to play.
Parker is expected to step into a prominent role once he does return to the field as he has a chance to secure the No.1 receiving option role in the passing game with the departure of Pro Bowler Jarvis Landry over the offseason. He has shown glimpses of promise over his brief time in the league, but it has been the injury bug that has prevented him from truly taking off to emerge as one of the young rising stars at his position. He is coming off one of his most productive campaigns with a career-high 57 catches for 670 receiving yards and a touchdown in 13 games played.
Miami has gotten off to a strong start out of the gate earning wins in their first two games, which get a boost with Parker back in the lineup. He brings another element next to Kenny Stills and Danny Amendola that could lead to more offensive success against the Raiders, who are currently 10th in the league against the pass and second overall allowing just 54.4 percent completion rate.
