The Miami Dolphins have a fresh perspective and some new faces on the offensive side of the ball entering the 2021 season.
One of the familiar faces won't be back, though. Lynn Bowden Jr. was put on injured reserve on Tuesday, effectively ending his season.
Dolphins put WR Lynn Bowden Jr. on IR with a hamstring injury he suffered at practice last week. Bowden, a Raiders 2020 3rd pick pick, was going to have a hard time getting much PT in Dolphins remade WR group. Bowden’s season is done barring a release and injury settlement.

According to 247sports.com, there's only one option for Bowden to return for the Dolphins this year, and it would take quite a domino effect for it to happen.
The former Wildcat is now likely done for the year after suffering a hamstring injury in practice last week. The Dolphins would have to release Bowden, come to an injury settlement and re-sign him in order for him to play this season.
Bowden tweeted about his injury after he was ruled out of Miami's most recent preseason game. He noted at the time it was his first time missing a football game because of an injury.

Bowden would've had to leapfrog some names to earn solid playing time this season for Miami. The Dolphins got to work this offseason. Their front office surrounded Tua Tagovailoa with plenty of options. Miami went out and drafted wide receiver Jaylen Waddle of Alabama in the first round and scooped up veteran NFL speedster Will Fuller in free agency as well.
Tagovailoa struggled at times during his rookie season and Ryan Fitzpatrick (now with the Washington Football Team) won back the starting gig late in the year for the Dolphins. With a revamped core of weapons around him, Miami is expecting to compete for a playoff spot again this year. The Phins will have to do so without Bowden.
