The Miami Dolphins made waves on Monday after deciding to fire Brian Flores. After beginning the season off to a slow start, Flores led Miami on a miraculous winning streak to get back into playoff contention. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough and the franchise missed the playoffs again. For this reason, the front office let Flores go, which could impact the Deshaun Watson trade saga.
According to Ian Rapoport, Flores' presence in Miami played a large part in Watson's interest in playing for the Dolphins. The disgruntled Houston Texans star has a no-trade clause and has the freedom to deny a trade his current team may accept. With Flores out of the picture, Deshaun Watson might have lost interest in moving to Miami.

Due to Watson's no-trade clause, Houston is stuck until they find a trade partner he likes. The Dolphins were continuously involved in trade rumors as Watson made it clear he was interested in Miami. Now, that could all change thanks to Brian Flores' departure, per Charles Robinson.

So, the Dolphins might have lost out on Deshaun Watson after making a controversial decision to fire Brian Flores. It's hard to imagine Miami finding a more suitable head coach, but we'll have to wait and see how it plays out.
Furthermore, Stephen Ross, owner of the Miami Dolphins, seems adamant in not pursuing Deshaun Watson, per David Furones.

With the Dolphins seemingly out on the Deshaun Watson trade race, there will still be multiple other teams interested in acquiring Houston's star quarterback. Look for the Carolina Panthers to get back in the race, while any franchise that hires Brian Flores could become a potential landing spot for Watson as well.
