Jerry Jones didn't have many good things to say when asked why the team decided to move on from Taco Charlton and after playing against his former team on Sunday with the Miami Dolphins, Charlton said he is out to prove his former boss wrong.

Charlton said three years down the road everyone will find out who is right, and he is going to do everything in his power to make sure that Jones is wrong.

“On the field, if you go three years down the line, we will get to see who is right and who is wrong,” Charlton said after the Dolphins’ loss via Pro Football Talk. “It is on me now. I get to play football, and then I get to get down to what I do.”

The Cowboys took Charlton with their first-round pick in 2017 and he didn't ever live up to the expectations. In 27 games he only had four sacks and most games he was mostly inexistent.

On Sunday with the Dolphins Charlton had a great game racking up two tackles, a tackle for a loss and also sacked Dak Prescott. Prescott said he told Charlton good luck going forward but didn't give him any congrats on the sack.

“I told Taco good luck on everything,” Prescott said. “I didn’t tell him congrats on that sack. I could have thrown it away.”

Charlton is going to have plenty of chances impress with the Dolphins and maybe all the chances will be enough to revive his career going forward.
